Tank Locating
Soil Testing Soil tests are performed by using a split auger to retrieve the sample from under the tank or next to the underground storage tank. The test samples are then delivered to an independent fully accredited analytical testing laboratory that will test the soil for Total Petroleum Hydrocarbons. Site Remediation If petroleum contamination is discovered, cleanup of the petroleum contamination may be needed, depending on the severity. Filco Company Inc., uses several methods to clean up petroleum contaminated soil including digging the material out and replacing it with clean material. The contaminated material is then baked to remove all the petroleum from the soil. Another method is to inject the ground with oil eating microbes which is effective in some oil conditions. Tank Testing Tanks and lines can be tested by using US Test Ultrasonic Tank Testing, Non-Volumetric tank testing, Petro-Tite line testing, pressure or vacuum testing, soil testing. Tanks can also be simply tested for water in the tank by using a colored water sensitive paste on a measuring stick.
